License Hearing
I went to Nashville today for the hearing about my license suspension. It was a lot different than I expected, I was expecting a court and judge and all that, but it turned out to just be one lady in her office. I took an oath, what was strange is that it wasn’t the normal “Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God?” It was something like “Under threat of perjury, do you affirm that you will tell the truth to the best of your ability?” But she asked me what happened with my wreck and other questions, told me I has 4 points on my record for contributing to an injury wreck, which was also strange because I wasn’t injured in my wreck.
Anyway after it was all said and done I just have to go to an 8 hour drivers safety course. I get to keep my license, no big deal.

You may think it’s no big deal, but I remember that eight hour driver safety course. I also remember six months after that starting a year and a half on a bicycle for a lack of drivers license. They don’t play around. Watch your speed. Watch your driving habits in general. If you get too many points, and it sounds like you’re close, they will suspend your license very quickly.
By the way, that drivers safety course is just about the most boring eight hours of my life. I wish I could tell you differently. It was almost painful.
