Afraid of the Dark?
Jun-15-2006
I just got back from a night-walk where I made a startling realization: I am afraid of the dark. I am not afraid of the darkness itself but everything I could see that I could not tell what it was, I was afraid of. It is really weird I am 16 years old and am afraid of the dark how pathetic is that?
P.S. The counselers and game coordinators at camp were awesome as well. Yes Rogue that was an mistake on my part for not mentioning them

It is actually very normal. When we play night paintball, very few people are brave enough to go out into the woods. Most people bunker down and panic.
When you aren’t with a bunch of people it is even more difficult. I overcome it by remembering that people don’t taste very good. Most animals will quit biting you after the first bite. The second thing I remember is that almost every animal will tell you they are there (growling, rattling, barking, etc.).
Oh, and most people are afraid of the dark so they won’t be outside. That means you are basically in the dark alone. Now the only thing to worry about is the thorns on the trees and the sudden falls.
